They share the exact same birthday. 

And it would appear besties Meghan Markle and Abigail Spencer are also style twins too - as the Duchess of Sussex wore a stunning Heidi Merrick design just months after her former Suits co-star.

Both sported the glamorous white gown from the Californian designer  - who actress Abigail looks to be close pals with - which featured a statement bow and cut out back.

Prince Harry's wife, 42, donned the ensemble for the Royal Salute Polo Challenge. on Saturday, channeling the perfect expensive casual look, whereas her friend opted to wear it in September.

Abigail chose the outfit to celebrate designer Heidi's anniversary celebrations with her husband Johnny Johnston.

Abigail took to Instagram to share a snap of herself in the stylish look - which she teamed with a laid-back denim jacket and black handbag.

'On "the land",' she captioned the post, which featured a gallery of images from the festivities in Ojai, California. 'Happy Anniversary Heidi & Johnny.'

Heidi also took to her social media this week to thank the Duchess for supporting her brand, writing that she was 'just glowing' in the gown. 

The royal, who has worn the designer before, paired the flowing white sundress with a £2,650 Maison Valentino bag.

Boosting her height, the Duchess added a pair of £565 pair of Aquazzura  ‘Purist 105’ Nude Nappa Leather Pumps.

Finishing off the look, Meghan fittingly accessorised with £175 Heidi Merrick 'Santa Barbara' sunglasses, named after the town she and Harry live with their two children. 

Adding a touch of glamour to the look, Meghan opted for a pair of vintage Chanel earrings, Princess Diana's Cartier  Gold Tank Française Watch, a £7,050 Cartier ‘Love’ Yellow Gold Bracelet, and her new favourite Ariel Gordon Diamond Hex Tennis bracelet, which is thought to be a Valentines' gift from Harry.

Meghan and Abigail are known to be longtime friends - as the actress, 42, made an emotional appearance in the Sussexes' 2022 Netflix documentary.

In it, Abigail revealed that she was one of the first people to learn about Meghan's then-secret relationship with Harry.

'It was 2016, Meghan and I met up in New York,' she recalled.

'We really enjoyed going to have tea and champagne at Bergdorf Goodman. We'd be like, "Let's meet at the tea room at Bergdorfs."

'She's like, "Um yeah, I think I met someone and I'm in love. It's Prince Harry."'

Like several of Meghan's other friends who feature in the Netflix show, Abigail was full of excitement over the earliest stages of their relationship.

'I could just feel everything in her body vibrating,' she shared. 'We have a photo from that moment. I was screaming because I could tell it was different.

'It was very clear from the moment she told me about him that they were in love and they were going to go to the ends of the earth to be together.'

However, Abigail was also quick to make clear how much Meghan had sacrificed in order to make her relationship with Harry work, particularly under the burning glare of public scrutiny.

'She had a whole life before she met H,' she said.

Abigail had a recurring role as Dana 'Scottie' Scott, Gabriel Macht's character's rival, on the legal drama Suits.

Having started her career on All My Children in 1998, she has since had recurring roles on Grey's Anatomy, A Beautiful Now, This Is Where I Leave You, and the crime thriller film The Forger following her departure from Suits.

She also received critical acclaim for starring as Amantha Holden in the Sundance Channel original drama series Rectify.

Recently Spencer joined the cast of the comedy series Extended Family as Julia - who recently underwent a divorce from her partner, Jim.

While Meghan invited all of her Suits co-stars to her royal wedding, it appears as though Abigail holds a special place in the Duchess' heart, having met long before the show at an audition, over a decade before the event. 

The pair bonded during the filming, and Abigail even contributed to the Tig, Meghan's since-discontinued lifestyle blog and attended her baby shower in February 2019.

The American actress married Andrew Pruett in 2004, however, the pair divorced in February 2012 - together they share a son, Roman Pruett, born in 2008. 

Last month, Abigail also showed off her impeccable sense of style as she lead the stars arriving at the premiere of Apples Never Fall in Los Angeles.

The seven-episode mystery drama centres on how a mysterious young woman upends the quiet life of newly retired couple Stan and Joy Delaney, played by Sam and Annette.

Things turn sinister when Joy disappears, leading the couple's four adult children to begin to investigate their parents' seemingly 'perfect' marriage and discovering some very disturbing secrets.

The cast also includes former Mad Men actress Alison Brie, as well as Jeanine Serralles and Dylan Thuraisingham.
